The speed with which news on the international scene evolves risks making every event something old, of the past, causing even events that deserve to be thought about carefully to fall into oblivion. Let’s try, with our kids, to fight this bulimia of information and return, after some time, to what is happening around us. A month ago, day more, day less, he met in Washington on Board of Peacean international organization which should, by statute, guarantee peace in the world, starting from the complex situation in Gaza. If I write about it after a month it is because in this surreal strategic move, which we all soon forgot, there is something profoundly ambiguous and sinister.
We don’t have geopolitical analysts among us, however, at Piccioletta Barca we are experts in words. The constitution of Board of peacefrom this point of view, has an important and worrying symbolic meaning: colonization, the seizure of a word – peace – which is one of the few that had remained in some way still free, pure, which could live within the sphere of ideals and which could therefore, so to speak, not belong to anyone.
We have often smiled at President Trump’s claim to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, but I believe there is little that is naive about it. On this issue, however, the strategy would seem to be this: transforming peace into an object to compete for, making it a sort of competition in which the first to arrive wins a medal. It is clear that the Nobel Peace Prize has never been a competition, but a gesture of gratitude and celebration: transforming it into a competition already means giving peace a very specific figure, that of the project of a single individual who wins over others. The Board of Peace it is an even more extreme version of this symbolic slip. It is no coincidence that there has been a lot of talk about that billion dollar ‘entry ticket’ for each country, as if peace were entrusted to a private club of very wealthy individuals and their associates who would then be called upon to impose it on everyone else. Even the tenor of the discussion, from what has transpired in the newspapers, is no different: to make peace you need money, a lot of money: in the end, peace is a commodity that can be bought.
Such an approach is a clear delegitimization of the multilateralism that was born after the Second World War. Donald Trump’s dramatic speech at the United Nations a few months ago – against the United Nations – was the real starting point of this project. Even in this case there are those who smiled, but if you connect that speech to the Board of Peace the message is very clear: multilateralism doesn’t work, dialogue between equals doesn’t work, we need a single actor to decide, together with his vassals.
Out of curiosity I read the organization’s statute (available online): it is an experience that I recommend to anyone. The first President (of course Donald Trump) has the power to appoint not only the executive committee, but also to decide which member state can be excluded and even to choose his successor. Those who, like us for Piccioletta Barca, have had to write the statute of an association, know well that there are rules of representation and democracy. An apparently very powerful international organization, however, has a statute that would not be suitable even for a bowling club or a parish recreational club. The message, however, is very clear: legitimation is not based on the principles of legality and justice, but on force. This force would in fact be what can generate peace: but this is precisely the prospect against which international organizations have not ceased to fight. It is precisely the arrogance of the strongest that has always hindered the functioning of the United Nations. From this point of view, the Board of Peace has already achieved its goal – which is certainly not the reconstruction of Gaza – in affirming the possibility of force winning over any democratic principle.
In the days preceding the meeting in Washington, the American administration even said it was surprised and disappointed by the fact that the great religious leaders, first and foremost the Pope, did not agree to participate in the meeting. Such a statement is the rhetorical masterpiece of this project, the last phase of the colonization of the word ‘Peace’. As if to say: if we are talking about the same thing, why aren’t religions on our side?
Giovanni XXIII, nella Pace in terrisclarified that peace is based on justice and that justice is based on truth. These are the three absolute pillars of human life: there is no peace without justice and there is no justice without truth. Peace without justice is called oppression and justice without truth is called abuse. It is very clear that today there is a constant work of manipulation of the truth underway, carried out with extraordinarily refined tools, but above all with a veritable flood of empty and clearly false words and speeches. The discovery of these new powers is that if we flood the world with discordant words, the discourse of truth will become impracticable. We can only respond to this refined symbolic erosion by patiently seeking out and serving the truth. The work is everyday and cultural and should involve us all, from first to last, despite our differences. Piccioletta Barca has been proudly working on this cultural work for almost ten years.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
